UTILIZE YOUR NEGATIVE SPACE

I find the negative space between rocks to be as interesting as the shape of the stone and overall pattern. Consistent tight gaps represent awesome workmanship, but they are very expensive to achieve due to time, labor, and wasted stone. I find a more fluid and free-form approach far more interesting.
